Our
Budding Researchers- Making
World A Better Place to Live
From
scientific experiments to the project experimentation, CU accords its
under-graduate students to get involved in research that offers hands-on
experience. Students along with faulty are involved in exciting and interesting projects in the
thrust areas like advanced materials, biomedical engineering, clean energy and
environment, computational biology, intelligent systems, micro-nanotechnology,
wireless and broadband communication to name a few. Research projects for
better living-
TREATMENT OF CANCER BY HYPERTHERMIA.
Cancer
treatment has seen revolution in terms of chemotherapy and radiation treatment,
but, our under-graduation students are currently working on Magnetorheological
fluids (MR) for targeted drug delivery along with hyperthermia for the
treatment of cancer or tumor. This research is targeted to minimize the effects
of radiation/chemotherapy and to target the specific area to kill or damage
cancer cells with minimal injury to normal tissues.
E-SECURED TRACKING SYSTEM FOR CYBER CRIME DETECTION.
The massive
growth in telecom sector has its own perils attached; mobile phones are misused
by making public, recordings and pictures which are private to an individual.
CU under-graduate students have developed an Embedded Software E-Security
software that can track individual, who captures/uploads someone’s private MMS
without permission. IMEI, MAC and IP address is embedded automatically when
visuals are shot or uploaded. An independent system is easy to implement and
offers high-level security based on image processing and cryptography.
SECURE HEALTH CARE DATA DISSEMINATION USING VEHICULAR NETWORK
Wireless
networks can be employed for a wide range of applications that provides real
time information to users. Providing real time healthcare is also one such area
where timely assistance can make a critical difference thereby saving human
lives. This project aims to use a secure vehicle based network for collecting
and transferring the health care data of People living in remote areas to
health center. This data is then processed at health center by medical experts
and appropriate assistance is then delivered to the patient. By using a
vehicular network, more efficient delivery of data is attained as compared to
existing cellular networks where bandwidth availability can be constrained due
to large number of subscribers. The project also uses a strong elliptic curve
based security mechanism for ensuring security of transmitted information.
