Why is the BMW Welt Unique?

Why is the BMW Welt Unique?

The BMW Welt is located in the Olympic Park in Munich, in the middle of the BMW campus.
It is a showcase and distribution centre for BMW cars. The structure appears as a whirl of glass and steel in the shape of a double cone that twists upwards towards the roof. The roof itself is in the form of a cloud that seems to be floating.
This masterpiece of steel and glass, designed by coop Himmelblau, has 16,500 square meters of solar panels. These panels generate much of the energy consumed by the building itself on a daily basis. The interiors have monumental stairways, curved bridges, and balconies that are held in the air.
The BMW Welt is therefore, is not just a work of art, but also a building famous for its practical role. Truly, the building is an architectural wonder.
